When I’m Not in Front of the Computer

Outside of software development, I focus on family, staying grounded, and pursuing interests that challenge my thinking in different ways. After more than two decades in logistics and transportation, I’ve learned the value of balance, discipline, and continuous growth, both professionally and personally.

Family Life

I’m a husband, father of three, and dog owner living in Maricopa, Arizona. My time outside of work is centered around my family, and that responsibility has shaped my work ethic, consistency, and long-term mindset.

Logistics Background

I spent 23 years in trucking and logistics, working in high-pressure environments where timing, precision, and problem-solving were critical. That experience directly influences how I approach software development.

Books, Film, and Storytelling

I enjoy classic literature, horror films, and classic movies. These interests keep me engaged with creativity and different perspectives, which I carry into my technical work.

Gaming and Strategy

I enjoy games like Cities: Skylines and Sniper Elite, which involve planning, strategy, and decision-making—skills that translate directly into software development.

Future Goals

One of my goals is to build a fully functional chess application. It represents a challenge that combines logic, structure, and strategy—core aspects of programming.
